Hardath General Insurance Consultants Limited (H.G.I.) was incorporated in June 18th 1998. As a family owned and operated insurance brokerage business and brought together the vast years of experience and knowledge from its owners. Our management team consists of well qualified and experienced personnel with more than fifty (50) years of active participation in the insurance industry.
Our business started in 1965 when our first insurance agency was opened by Mr. Hardeo Hardath. Since then we have continuously expanded our offering of insurance products through various insurance companies. In 1998 the managers consolidated the various insurance agency agreements into an insurance brokerage company. This transition facilitated an expansion of the company’s operations together with an enhanced choice of insurance companies and product offering to our clients.
