The Haustec Thermodynamic Box is a revolutionary new way to heat your water, providing an environmentally friendly, alternative water heating solution. The thermodynamic water heater makes use of the ambient heat that surrounds its panel, enabling it to supply as much hot water as you need, providing the surrounding temperature stays above -10 degrees centigrade.
The process can be described as working like a fridge in reverse. Whereas the panel on the rear of a regular fridge is used as a coolant, we simply reverse this principle by mounting an aluminium thermodynamic heat collector panel to absorb the heat rather than reject it.
The ambient air temperature allows the refrigerant to change from a liquid into a gas as it passes through the panel. It is this changing of state from a liquid to a gas, that allows us to capture the energy from the ambient air temperature, from here the gas is carried to a heat pump mounted within the Thermodynamic box.
The Solar Assisted Heat Pump (compressor) then compresses the gas which increases the temperature. The heat energy is dissipated into the water within the cylinder which in turn heats the water, resulting in the refrigerant reverting back to a liquid and beginning the process again. This process continues in a loop until the water reaches 55 Degrees centigrade. Once this is achieved the system goes into standby.
