Since 2014, Health Access Connect (HAC) has been dedicated to linking remote communities in Uganda to healthcare by enhancing public health systems and empowering local communities.
Our flagship program, Medicycles, establishes community-led outreach clinics in remote areas, significantly improving healthcare access. By the end of 2023, we had reached 130 remote communities, conducted over 2,000 outreach clinics, and served more than 80,000 patients.
HAC addresses healthcare gaps with additional programs like the technical assistance project for the Ugandan Ministry of Health, the Treat & Teach family planning initiative, and efforts to digitize health facilities.
Our approach focuses on sustainability by leveraging existing resources, building the capacity of health facilities and communities, and fostering financial independence in service delivery.
Recognizing the severe barriers to healthcare access in low and middle-income countries, HAC's model

To overcome transportation challenges, We offer motorcycle loans to local entrepreneurs, ensuring health workers can reach remote areas. By involving communities in planning and financing, HAC ensures the sustainability and effectiveness of its outreach efforts, leading to healthier lives in remote, underserved areas.
We are registered as a USA 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization (EIN: 46-4741312) and a Ugandan nongovernmental organization (Reg #: 10973). We were founded and registered in November 2014.
