Health Compass Initiative is a non profit organization of young doctors and medical students who are passionate about tackling the burden of non-communicable diseases. Our activities are aimed at increasing the awareness of the general public to common non-communicable diseases and ailments, as well as encouraging health promotion through healthy lifestyles. We advocate for proactive attitude of stakeholders in the health sector in Nigeria at to global health problems. Health Compass is an enrolled activity under the Healthy Lifestyles and non-communicable diseases program of the International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA).
Youths have been active change agents and tools for societal reforms because of their progressive mindset. Hence, this activity is basically an idea that seeks to ensure greater participation of young doctors and medical students in sensitizing the populace in Nigeria on the importance of healthy lifestyles thus contributing their quota in societal building and human capital development.
