Health Ethics Trust (HET) is a division of the Council of Ethical Organizations (established 1980) and provides advisory services, a full agenda of educational programs and conferences, compliance certification, compliance program and risk assessment, training program design and delivery, hotline support and training, policy development and survey research on ethics-compliance issues.
In response to growing ethics and compliance concerns in healthcare, the Council established HET in 1995. The purpose of HET is to assist healthcare organizations committed to ethical and legal conduct in coping with compliance requirements through educational programs, research, and shared resources. HET's on-going research program includes an extensive study of healthcare compliance programs. Members of HET includes providers, systems, MCOs, payors, plans, home care agencies, suppliers and pharmaceuticals and is growing rapidly. We maintain benchmark policies, practices and models for most aspects of ethics-compliance programs.
