HOPE (Health Oriented Preventive Education), an NGO based in Karachi, Pakistan, has been providing humanitarian assistance through interventions in health, education, and emergency relief in Pakistan for over a decade.
One of HOPE’s core activities is providing healthcare for vulnerable communities, with a particular focus on maternal and child health. To achieve improvement in the health and nutritional status of the poor and disadvantaged groups, HOPE takes an integrated approach by combining preventive and curative health services with health education in the underserved areas.
In addition to healthcare, education has been an integral component of HOPE’s development initiatives. HOPE has established a wide network of formal and informal schools in Karachi, Interior Sindh, and Muzaffarabad. HOPE is also running vocational training centers catered for the disadvantaged youth.
