HealthVision Solutions sees a new direction in Healthcare and is developing proprietary disease management solutions by utilizing mobile devices. Mobile Health (mhealth) is without a doubt going to change the way people manage and interact with many facets of their healthcare system - and vice versa.
HealthVision's Diabetes Management System (DMS) is a bundle of mobile applications that provides real-time disease management functions for use through mobile devices and proprietary databases. It is no secret that the diabetes epidemic is underway. The management of the disease is one of the largest costs to the healthcare system for both caregivers and insurers. Providing diabetics with the power to control their disease at the touch of a button and allowing them to share that information with their caregiver provides management of the disease in "real-time" (proactive). This is currently done using "historical data" (reactive).
HealthVision's DMS will also be used in clinical environments to help hospitals, assisted living homes and clinics to help in the monitoring of the disease. Preliminary analysis showed that our DMS will save a 800 bed hospital a 1/2 hour a day per nurse, which equates to a savings of about $2 million dollars a year. More importantly the system provides practitioners with a better solution to diabetic patient care.
