The Hellenic Association for Friedreich’s Ataxia is a non-profit organization founded on March 2020 in the city of Thessaloniki, by both parents of patients and patients suffering from this rare, neuroparalyzing disease. It is the first association for Friedreich´s Ataxia in Greece. Our Association gives a voice to all those suffering from Friedreich’s Ataxia and tries to assist the FA community in finding any or a complete cure for their disease. Our vision is a society that´s more empathetic towards FA patients and ultimately a world free from this neurodegenerative disease. Our actions aim to serve the needs of the people suffering from it as well as their families who are constantly suffering physically, emotionally and financially from FA.
