The Hellenic League for Human Rights (HLHR) was founded in 1953 and is the oldest human rights organization in Greece. HLHR since its establishment is a permanent member of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH). According to its statute, the League “undertakes activities in the domain of dissemination, advocacy and development of principles that reckon to human rights and freedoms, integrated to social structures”. To optimize the achievement of its goals, the League cooperates with other national or international bodies active in the domain of human rights.
