Helping Haiti Work is a nonprofit organization turning donations into jobs and renewable, small loans to help Haitian women improve their communities. We work to support and empower women to help themselves and their communities and make a livable wage. With the microloan program, we provide women with small business loans so that they can grow their business and better support their families. With the sewing centers, we provide a job and materials for Haitian seamstresses to construct a needed product. We also utilize the cultural knowledge of our seamstresses to educate young women about reproductive health with our Ambassador of Women’s Health program. Helping Haiti Work grew out of Dr. Leslee Jaeger’s volunteer medical mission work in Limbe, Haiti.
