Henrik Stenson’s passion for great golf course architecture has been with him ever since he started playing golf. But after winning The Open Championship at Royal Troon in 2016, he decided it was time to bring his knowledge and passion into reality by setting up his own design company.
He handpicked a team of business professionals to work with him to create a long-lasting legacy in golf by producing great golf courses.
In 2019, Stenson’s first golf course – Öster by Stenson – opened in Stockholm, Sweden, to wide acclaim, with the course nominated ‘Best New Course’ by World Golf Awards.
Henrik Stenson Golf Design won the prestigious award ‘Golf Course Designer of the Year’ by World Golf Awards in 2021.
