Founded in 1928, the farm belongs to the Castelo Branco family and has been a family business for the past five generations.
The family is responsible for the ongoing management and development of all the agricultural production areas.
The Paço do Conde group is managed by José Antonio Ferrão Castelo Branco, Luis Miguel Ferrão Castelo Branco and Maria Luisa Castelo Branco Schmidt.
The Group is currently responsible for operating about 3,000 hectares of agricultural area on the banks of the Guadiana river, Alentejo, in the south of Portugal. In this area, in addition to wine production we also produce diverse crops such as olive, wheat, sunflower, corn poppy, horticultural crops and sown grassland and natural feed for cattle. The continuity of the farm and the development of the winery and mill are essential components of this project.
This passion for the land is shared in each bottle of wine and olive oil produced by Herdade Paço do Conde.
