Hacking Health Queensland Overview

It's an exciting and important time to be involved in healthcare innovation and Queensland's fantastic ecosystem. Queensland was host to Australia's Hacking Health 2017 event series - as part of a global effort to bring solutions to pressing health care challenges in our local communities. This culminated in a successful Hacking Health hackathon held in conjunction with HISA's national HIC conference in Brisbane. The event series and hackathon brought together and enabled problem owners, solvers, and innovation enablers to ideate and develop innovative solutions to pressing challenges in health care. Congratulations and thank you to the health professionals, patients, carers, researchers, students, mentors, and government and industry representatives for your contribution to innovation in health! Building upon this fantastic local initiative and efforts led nationally by HISA to establish Hacking Health hubs in Australia, we are pleased to announce the expansion of Hacking Health with the establishment of Queensland's first chapter, Hacking Health Queensland. Hacking Health Queensland aims to connect those with a need, passion, ideas and talent for innovation to augment and accelerate efforts to bring solutions to our communities' health challenges. Hacking Health Queensland will also work with Hacking Health chapters nationally and internationally to advance and leverage international knowledge and best practice.
