Test Object optimisation
Get the most from your test budget by verifying specific characteristics and constructional requirements from the least number of ‘reference designs’ to permit use of design rules to verify other ratings. Particularly useful when developing a modular product or range.
Inspection.
A visual inspection of test object(s) to double check everything is in order, including appropriate test connections and documentation, prior to submission to a test laboratory. This can avoid costly delays, failures and re-tests.
Design Verification Assessment:
Third party review to determine if the design of a ‘non-tested’ assembly complies with the requirements of the product standard when compared to a tested ‘reference design’. Includes an inspection of test certificates and any other supporting evidence such as calculations, assessments and data sheets.
On successful completion, a DVA certificate is issued, otherwise a gap analysis report.
Calculations:
In accordance with EN / IEC 61439-1 - Temperature-rise assessment of LV assemblies rated up to 1600A using the methods of EN IEC TR 60890.
Effects of short-circuit currents on a ‘Non-Tested Structure’ by comparison to a ‘Tested Structure’ using the methods of EN/IEC 60865-1.
