HKUST Aero Team, a scholarly association from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), is committed to the fields of Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering. Our endeavors incorporate participating in AIAA Design-Build-Fly (DBF) competitions and British Model Flying Association (BMFA) payload challenges worldwide. Utilizing sophisticated techniques such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Method (FEM), we meticulously design our competitive aircrafts. By integrating cutting-edge technology, our team aims to build high-performing model planes and achieve outstanding results in international contests. Furthermore, our objective is to establish a collaborative platform for students across multiple disciplines to exchange knowledge and insights on radio-controlled planes, fostering a deeper understanding of the aviation industry.
All of our activities are designed with a practical focus in mind.
By participating in our activities, you will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on aircraft modeling and to interact with senior engineers and managers from aeronautical engineering companies during our talks and visits.
