Hollard Mozambique (Companhia de Seguros S.A.) opened for business in Maputo in 2001 to provide innovative personal and corporate insurance solutions to the Mozambiquan market. And to develop products, for the first time, to meet the pressing need for asset risk protection that exists in the low income, traditionally uninsured segments of the market.
From our initial base in the south of the country, we have established a nationwide network and now also have branch offices in Nampula (to the north), Tete (west), Beira (east) as well as agents located at all key border posts.
Together, with our partners, we provide a full range of corporate, commercial, and personal insurance products to meet the diverse needs of clients across the economic spectrum who live, work, trade and travel in Mozambique.
The business has grown steadily and, in 2008, we consolidated our life insurance offerings and established Hollard Vida (which remains part of Hollard Mozambique but operates under a separate licence).
Today, we are very happy to say we are recognised as one of Mozambique’s top three insurers and are working hard to deliver better solutions that will keep us among the market’s favourites!
