The Homeless Training Institute is an organization dedicated to transforming how we interact with society's most vulnerable populations. Individuals experiencing homelessness face incredible challenges on a regular basis - incurring trauma, discrimination, and undue punishment every single day. It is up to all of us to change that behavior, to change the very paradigm in which we treat one another.
We are a traveling team of highly experienced homeless shelter workers. Veterans of the trade who have learned the hard way how to reduce problems and conflict, while still being inclusive. We are dedicated to training individuals and organizations in how to help homeless individuals comply with the rules in a way that emphasizes dignity. With our Empathy Driven Enforcement model, the Homeless Training Institute helps organizations around the world enforce their rules without threats of punishment - allowing your public spaces to become safer, more equitable, and welcoming to all.
