Homes for Islington

Homes for Islington manages Islington Council's 21,500 homes and 8,000 leasehold properties. Working with Islington Council and local Tenant Management Organisations we deliver housing management and maintenance services to tenants and leaseholders. We employ over 900 staff and are responsible for the day-to-day running and maintenance of Islington’s council housing. This includes caretaking services, management of estates, repairs, major works, rent collection and the delivering the decent homes standard. We were established in April 2004 as an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMOs), a local authority controlled company solely owned by Islington Council. We were awarded 3 Stars (Excellent Service) with Excellent prospects for further improvement by the Audit Commission in 2008. This is the highest rating that can be awarded by the Audit Commission and means we are now in the top 10 highest performing ALMOs nationwide.
