Hope Rekindled Initiative is founded on two principles: to be a youth-led and a youth-serving organization primarily to provide opportunities and equip youths to be active and strong agents of transformation in their communities. Established in 2022, HRI was born out of the pressing need to address systemic challenges facing youth with focus on healthcare issues around Mental Health, SRHR and MHM, limited civic engagement, growing vulnerability to climate-related shocks and limited access to skills for employment. Ultimately, HRI envisions youth at the forefront of advocating, promoting and taking a central role in realisation of communities’ social and economic rights.
