Hourglass Wellbeing is a HIS-accredited, Private Medical Clinic in Aberdeen, Scotland, specialising in the prevention and treatment of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases.
THE CLINIC
We offer Consultant-led clinics in Cardiology, Diabetes & Endocrinology:
-General Cardiology, Heart Failure and Cardiac Electrophysiology. The clinic offers the only Private Electrophysiology service in the North-East and North of Scotland.
-Expert Endocrinology service to manage a wide range of disorders including identifying Pre-diabetic states, Diabetes, Thyroid disorders, Excess/deficiency in hormone secretion, fertility/reproductive endocrinology and the menopause.
-A novel, multi-disciplinary approach to lifestyle medicine, including guidance on the role of prescription-based medical weight loss, collaboration with Personal Trainers, Nutritionists and Psychotherapists.
-A wide range of diagnostics including BSE-accredited Echocardiography, ECG, Holter rhythm monitoring, a wide panel of laboratory tests (blood, urine, swabs).
In addition to our Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine focus, the clinic also hosts the following services:
-The Aberdeen POTS Clinic
-Private General Practice
-Orthopaedic joint injection clinics for the alleviation of pain and inflammation. This is a Nurse Consultant led service.
-Medical Aesthetics. Nurse and Doctor delivered procedures, including PDO threads, lipolysis and non-surgical rhinoplasty (advanced aesthetics).
THE TRAINING ACADEMY
We have an extensive history of delivering Medical Aesthetics Training and Clinical Supervision.
Our dedicated Training Academy is an excellent space in a prime city centre location, ideal for public engagement, training courses and classes, utilised by a variety of affiliated businesses and professionals.
