HRDC (Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled Children) is Nepal’s dedicated pediatric orthopaedic hospital and rehabilitation centre in Banepa, Kavrepalanchok. Since its establishment in 1985, HRDC has been a pioneer in delivering holistic, high-quality, and accessible care to children living with physical disabilities, especially those from marginalised and underserved communities.
At the heart of HRDC’s mission is the belief that every child has the right to move, learn, and grow without barriers. The centre provides a wide range of services, including orthopaedic surgery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, social support and reintegration, and community-based rehabilitation. HRDC also conducts mobile camps and outreach clinics across rural regions of Nepal, ensuring that children in remote areas receive the care they need.
Through this comprehensive and child-centred approach, HRDC not only restores physical function but also promotes education, social inclusion, and long-term empowerment.
