Established in 1996, Huajian Group is headquartered in Dongguan China, and specializes in the production of medium-high-grade women's leather shoes. The Group owns three major production bases in Dongguan and Ganzhou of China, and Ethiopia in Africa, and over a dozen subsidiaries, forming an international group corporation that integrates R&D, trade, processing, manufacturing, accessories supplies, logistics, education and training, footwear bases and industrial parks. It now has 40 modern production lines with an annual output of over 20 million pairs, and over 15,000 employees including a R & D team of more than 2,000.

In September 2011, Huajian Group established the International Shoes City in Ethiopia. From the construction start, it only took the company 3 months to begin production and boost the exports of local leather products by 57%, creating the "Huajian speed". Up till now, 9 modern production lines and supporting facilities have been built, creating nearly 7,000 local jobs, producing for the world’s renowned brands, and making the company Ethiopia's largest exporter.
In April 2015, Huajian Group's second major investment in Ethiopia, Huajian International Light Industrial City in Addis Ababa, began its construction. The project has a planned investment of $1 billion, covers an area around 140 ha with the construction area of 1.6 million sqms.
In the future, Huajian Group will bring Ethiopia's successful cases to more countries, and further realize its goal of solving 100,000 jobs in the most underdeveloped regions of the world, building a shared community of human kinds, and boosting the global economic development.
