In Barcelona, unused, flat rooftops represent 67% of all rooftops and a big amount of them is suitable for urban farming. It is estimated that the equivalent of 150 football pitches could be used for agriculture. So we are ready to be a #GreenchangemakerBCN!
Huertos in the Sky is a social impact initiative aimed at transforming Barcelona’s rooftops into sustainable urban vegetable gardens.
In addition, we craft inspiring TEAM-BUILDING experiences that focus on urban gardening, well-being, and sustainability, working closely with subject matter experts. These events are held in unique and iconic locations across Barcelona.
Furthermore, we aspire to bring "ILLAS VERDES" to life, reviving Ildefons Cerdà’s original vision of transforming the inner courtyards of Eixample’s blocks into lush green gardens and thriving urban vegetable patches.
In May 2019 we planted more than 300 plants of + 50 ECO varieties in a 47 m2 first Prototype in La Barceloneta collaboration with the restaurant below, L'Ostia . During the first year we produce more than 300Kg of fresh produce
