About HumSafer App: HumSafer’s Vision is to have zero road accidents and ensure to have prosperous truck drivers. We are committed to the mission of making Indian Roads Safer. We have built a mobile application for Truck Drivers which uses AI to help prevent road accidents by over 60%. The key focus areas are: Our primary target are the truck drivers in India (approximately 80 lakhs) in safety and improving their lives. Our product has the Potential to save over 100 lives every day from road accidents. As 80% accidents are due to human error and avoidable. What problem are you trying to solve? Why this problem? According to NHAI data about 60% of road accidents in India happen because of bad driving practices while 20% are caused due to sleep deprivation. Also, 65% of the deaths that occur in our country are caused due to the collision of trucks in an accident. Through real time intervention in their local language we will help truck drivers make safer choices on the road, lower their chances of meeting with accidents, and connect this largely fragmented network to foster a sense of community and make them prosperous members of society. Why this problem? According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, on the Indian roads there are around 5 lakh accidents every year, resulting in 2,00,000 deaths, on an average India records about 400 deaths a day. According to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) More than 65% of the accidents happen on National Highways, 50% of the victims are below the age of 35 years. While existing safety solutions in the market like GPS devices and sleep detection exist they aren't affordable or made available to the vast majority (over 80% of the unorganized 80 lakhs truck drivers in the market) More than 90% of truck drivers have smartphones.
