Since opening our doors in 1999, we’ve been one of the Hunter region’s premier sporting venues, making sport possible for all. We also empower regional Australian talent and athletes to compete at a national and international level.
Our Olympic-standard facilities at Glendale include:
• Athletics centre with nine-lane Olympic running tracks and 10-lane main straight surfaced with Rektotan synthetic
• Soccer field in the centre of the track
• Gymnastics centre with 2448-square-metres of floor space
• Weights areas for athletes and small group fitness clients
• First aid/physiotherapy room
• Lighting for night-time events
• Wheelchair access to all areas and private wheelchair change rooms
• Access for news crews with facilities for outside broadcast
• Catering area with full kitchen facilities for functions
• Parking for up to 240 vehicles
Works for our new up to $45 million state-of-the-art facility expansion will begin in 2022, with completion expected by 2023/24.
Our expansion includes:
• Three-storey sport and community centre extension (Stage 1 – 2022)
• Warm-up facility and athlete testing building (Stage 2)
• NSW Trampoline Centre of Excellence (Stage 3)
