The Community Development Agency (CDA) manages affordable housing stock within the Town of Huntington. Our agency manages a variety of developments with affordable units for rent or purchase. All developments have their own income, asset, and age requirements. Some developments are restricted to seniors, those in the workforce, or first-time home buyers. To be eligible for any affordable housing opportunities with our agency you will need to join the waitlist, online through Opengov. First Responders receive priority on our waitlist.
CDA also offers two programs that allow homeowners to make improvements to their home. The Home Rehabilitation Program allows Town of Huntington residents can make necessary changes to
their home to improve their quality of living. This program provides individuals with the opportunity to update and bring your property up to Town
Housing Codes through 2 different programs: Deferred Loan Program (0% interest) and Emergency Grants.
The Acessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Program allows homeowners to renovate or create an accessory apartment in their home.
