Established in Jan-2012, Huracan was born from the need for a local Gyro service provider to be based closer to the emerging coal bed methane markets in Queensland, Australia.
The company was founded by Jon Hollingworth who has had more than 21 years of providing different services to the Oil and Gas industry. During those 21 years he gained experience in Wireline logging (both open hole and cased hole), Directional Drilling, Coil Tubing, Stimulation and Testing. Over his career Jon worked with service providers Halliburton, Schlumberger and Owen Oil Tools. Working in a number of different countries gaining experience in a variety of cultures and climates from the deserts of North Africa and the Middle East, Jungles of Asia to the sometimes harsh oceans of East Australia.
Since its birth Huracan has extended its services to include Permanent Gauge Installation, Production Logging Interpretation and are currently developing a low cost Slickline Memory Camera.
