About HyperGen - Multi Fuel Micro Turbine Gensets

HyperGen has been founded around a simple question with a complex answer, "What product can be developed that people would want to buy for it's own sake, but which has a dramatically reduced environmental impact?" We're half way through a 60 year period in which greenhouse gas emissions needed to be reduced to zero, but all that's happened is that they've increased and now, the talk is more around reducing the effects of climate change, rather than stopping it entirely. So far, top down emissions reduction has seen much more talk than walk, and bottom up action is asking people (who may not understand, care, or wish to accept the facts) to not have the things they had before, that they've grown up with and gotten used to, cars, international flights, meat, etc. The most successful model is the death of coal from renewable technologies, in which people have simply begun moving their investments because renewables are not only better for the environment, they're better products. Thus, we are developing replacement powertrain technologies based loosely on the Microturbine platform with a view to delivering a product that: - Is at least the same as, if not a better experience for the user than existing powertrains - Is readily scalable - Requires as little infrastructure development as possible - Must be cost competitive (in outright purchase and/or running costs) - Must have greater efficiency than existing comparable fossil fuel engines and preferably a near comparable performance to fuel cells - To as great an extent as possible be made from readily available, and easily workable designs and materials, such that it does not suffer from the issues currently being faced by battery electric and potentially an issue for large scale deployment of fuel cells. - It must retain as much as possible the existing selling points of microturbines including simplicity, lifespan, power to weight ratio, ease of maintenance, etc.
