Backed by a national alliance including Centrica, ITM Power, JCB, National Gas, Johnson Matthey, Heidelberg Materials and HydraB Power, HySpeed is focused exclusively on green hydrogen made with renewable electricity — not imports, not offsets.
The project will:
Create 24,300 skilled UK jobs
Cut one million tonnes of CO₂ annually
Anchor half of its supply chain in the UK
Strengthen domestic energy resilience
With the UK importing over 50% of its gas and much clean tech still sourced overseas, HySpeed offers something different: British-made hydrogen for British industry.
