I3T Project Overview

The project focus is on specialized ICT technologies comprising the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The objective is to contribute to key aspects, including horizontal dimensions, such as security of systems and processes, and propose innovative solutions for the application of these technologies in two concrete vertical application domain environments: Smart Manufacturing, in its plant / enterprise dimension as well as in the context of a large ecosystem of co-operating enterprises Smart Energy, including the distributed electrical energy production and transfer (smart grid) as well as the dimension of a medium / large consumer, such as a Smart Building. The project is implemented by the Industrial Systems Institute in the context of the sectoral Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (EPAnEK) of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement for the period 2014-2020 and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
