The International Association of Civil Engineering Students (IACES) was founded in September 1989 in Delft, The Netherlands. IACES’ aims are to promote contact between civil engineering students and professionals, to spread information to each other regarding any subject related to the field, to foster cooperation between governments, companies, and universities, to advocate for students in international maters which have potential effects on the field, and to encourage intercultural understanding and good will.
The Local Committee of Cairo (Cairo university) was founded 2016.
Our goal as Local Committee is to organize local and international activities, such as:
• Competitions
• Training sessions
• Workshops
• Student exchange
• Seminars
• Site visits
As well as generally discover and offer new opportunities and experiences to students from our University to achieve our main aims.
Nowadays IACES is present at more than 50 Engineering Faculties through whole World represented in several countries in Europe as well as Africa and the Americas.
