IAM Lab - SMAM4SoRo Lab [Politecnico di Bari] Overview

Interdisciplinary Additive Manufacturing (IAM) Lab was established in 2019 at the Polytechnic University of Bari. The main research topics are: i) AM for soft robots, ii) AM for smart structures, iii) AM for assembly-free devices, iv) simulations to enhance AM processes, and v) AM for bio-inspired devices. The main IAM Lab equipment are 1) multi-material Material Extrusion machines, 2) Microcompounder for filament fabrication, 3) Ink-Jet printer for soft electronics, 4) Custom-made machines to enhance AM functionalities, 5) Bio-printer, 6) Testing machines (i.e. universal Instron machine), 6) Electroplating setup.
