Ianua Australis

Ianua Australis is a non-profit organization formed to further social fairness, utility and solidarity objectives. Through a strategic framework for the European cooperation, it is proposed to act in the field of education, training and intercultural dialogue with a particular focus on young people and youth leaders. Ianua Australis has got a significant experience of strategic partnership and stakeholders management as it actively works on local and national level through a wide network of NGOs and governmental institutions acting in all the fields of civil society, so that its main target group can count more than 3000 youngsters. Its work is based on active participation and involvement, non-formal and informal education and cross-sectorial multidisciplinary approach. Ianua Australis was founded to serve as a learning organization that gathers trainers, youth and social workers, youth policy makers and volunteers to be actively involved in the creation of European dimension activities with benefits for local communities. Ever since it was founded, Ianua Australis has been planning and carrying out broad-based activities and projects for young people and youth workers such as workshops, seminars, training courses, camps, volunteer actions. Ianua Australis has a strong community-oriented idea: its members (and volunteers) come from different educational and professional paths so, with all these variegated skills, they can include their formal knowledge into non-formal approach to reach the best possible result. All of this makes the Association always well-informed about the needs of nowadays society and fully involved into the European integration process. Furthermore, founded members of Ianua Australis have a huge longtime experience in voluntary and community sector working, especially with children and youngsters. Social inclusion, youth empowerment and development of youth work are some of the most important field of action.
