The Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) has professional and student chapters located throughout India. Participation in this chapter can be extremely rewarding in terms of gaining greater technical knowledge and networking with leaders in the area related to structural concrete. ICI chapter includes a diverse blend of architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, educators, material suppliers, equipment suppliers, owners, and students—basically anyone interested in concrete.
Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology started the student Chapter of Indian Concrete Institute with a view to promote growth of concrete construction and to identify research problems of practical relevance to concrete construction technology. The chapter was inaugurated in the year 2016-17 and obtained the “Best student chapter award” for its activities the year 2017-18. ICI – RSET student chapter arranges lecture series on selected topics, quiz competitions, seminars, group activities etc. to disseminate information in relevance to concrete construction. ICI Student Chapter of the department, organizes various activities which provides immense opportunities for academic excellence of students and opportunity to interact with industry experts.
