About Innovation Center on Sex Differences in Medicine (ICON-✘)
There is an urgency to address the specific needs of the health of women, how they differ from men, and the impact on our families globally. The Mass General Hospital Innovation Center on Sex Differences in Medicine (ICON-✘) is tackling these issues. The Innovation Center was launched in 2018 by Dr Jill M. Goldstein leading a group of experts across departments and disciplines and in collaboration with sister institutions and the Mass General Research Institute. ICON-✘ places a strong emphasis on the translation of research findings into clinical practice and policy. This is an important aspect of the center's mission, as it aims to ensure that the knowledge generated by its research is used to improve health outcomes for all individuals.
