Inspiration
I’ve been extremely lucky to have spent my entire professional career on the forefront of innovative digital technology especially in Industrial Automation Solutions, Customer Relationship Management and Business Intelligence. Working for international private and public sector and Development Cooperation, it doesn’t matter in which business unit, department or group you are actually contributing your knowledge - today ‘digital’ is everywhere and the talk of a town - worldwide.
We hear about digital technologies, big data, digital media, digital transformation, digital marketing, digital sales, digital HR and so forth. – only to name some key words. Everyone wants to go digital or is forced to it. But which way to go? And why it’s important to have a digital transformation strategy? Finally, it is not a short-term approach. It is targeting to create impact, progressing sustainability and respecting the environment – e.g. enhancing innovation and competitiveness, creating new and sustainable business models which leads to new jobs and improvements of living conditions. The symbiosis of Digital Transformation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations is essential, has to be respected and will lead us finally to future-oriented valuable cooperation.
Challenge
Yes indeed, it is mandatory to pave the way for Digital Transformation through Leading Change. And it’s not “only” about technology. I believe that the healthy collaboration between People, Processes and Technology is the most important change approach and at the same time the challenge to survive and thrive in the age of Digitalization. By the way, implemented use cases showed: “People are the most important resource and asset, when we talk about Digitalization”. Therefore, cultural and social competences are playing a major role for change agents.
