Ignite Foundation is a non-profit charity, providing its beneficiaries with free professional boxing sessions. The charity have collaborated with Schools in North London to teach primary school students boxing fitness. This has had a direct impact on their focus, attendance and physical fitness. Ignite Foundation donate equipment and coaching 2hrs a week to primary schools, working with groups of Year 6 students.
The charity was formed by the Patron Terry Mordecai, who has grown up in Edmonton during the 80s and 90s and feels the youth of today do not have the same privileges he enjoyed. Gang crime is rife in Edmonton, taking away young people's freedom and sense of community. Young people have many more hurdles to face today with social media and smart phones. Ignite Foundation goes back to the basics - boxing fitness teaches children team work, discipline and confidence. Empowering them to make the right decision and care about their peers.
