The International Health Trends and Perspectives (IHTP) is an independent, double-blinded, peer-reviewed, international, online scholarly journal. The journal is a part of the Public Knowledge Project Open Journal System that can be found on the Ryerson University library database.
The IHTP’s key objective is to stimulate multidisciplinary conversations by publishing theoretical, empirical, and practical knowledge related to significant topics of health and wellness from around the world.
Valuing diversity in unity, we believe that multiple perspectives contributing to scholarly discussions can comprehensively address issues impacting health. Moreover, through the analysis of current societal infrastructures and resources, we aim to inspire innovative solutions and perspectives.
The IHTP publishes the following categories of manuscripts: editorial, commentary, original articles, review articles, theoretical or conceptual reflections articles, experience or reflections report, discussion paper, letter to the editor and letter in reply.
The IHTP values research from various disciplines pertaining to health and wellness of communities globally. We are accepting submissions on health perspectives from multiple disciplines such as: engineering, finance, environmental and political science. Possible topics the journal will explore but are not limited to: resource insecurity, socioeconomics, social inequalities, mental health, Indigenous health, ageing populations, immigration, climate change and COVID-19.
