The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Kerala (IIITMK) established in 2000, is a non-profit autonomous institution, registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (formerly Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956), under the Government of Kerala. The institute's management is vested in a Board of Directors comprising eminent industrialists, academicians, and senior government officials appointed by the Government of Kerala. Under the visionary leadership of K. P. P. Nambiar, and with the invaluable contributions of well-known members such as F.C. Kohli, V. Rajaraman, Vijay Bhatkar, and T.K.A. Nair, IIITM-K has evolved with a unique culture focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-academia collaboration. The institute has also closely worked with both state and central government agencies to deliver various IT-based services.
