The Students graduating from IIUM excel in academia, business, the freelance business sector and civil society. The university, which has more than 29 thousand students from 100 countries, gave its first graduates from Turkey in 1995. The university has approximately 100 Turkish graduates, and 50 Turkish students are currently continuing their education.
IIUM Alumni Association was registered on 12.09.2011 and its official opening was on 17 June 2012, with the former Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Mahathir Mohammed and university rector Dato'Sri Dr Zaleha Kamaruddin.
