imagin-Arts Drama Group was set up to transform students into actors, help them imagining different roles, engaging them in building a character and then not acting it out, but living it. It was always Ivan’s dream to have a drama group fully prepared both for Theatre acting and Film Acting.
imagin-Arts started off on the 1st of August 2010, in which it held its first courses from the following October with more than 20 students. Today, almost 3 years after, the Drama group doubled in its students, which makes it a successful drama group. The drama group prepared several performances which were held in MITP Theatre, Valletta, St. Vincent De Paule Theatre and Maria Assunta Sec School, Hamrun Theatre.
imagin-Arts holds individual classes as well to prepare student to the Trinity Guildhall Acting Skills / Musical Theatre examinations. In fact, from its conception till date, more than 30 students held these examinations, having 80% of them Disctinctions. Ivan De Battista, the founder of imagin-Arts has been teaching individuals for the past 10 years, having a track record of Distinctions and Merits. In fact, out of all the individuals whom he held, 83% were all Distinctions and the remaining High Merits and Merits.
