IMBS offers unique graduate programs in Biomedical Sciences focused on translating scientific knowledge into human medicine. Students experience research techniques with individual supervision in a multicultural environment at two prestigious universities: the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in Argentina and the University of Freiburg (UFR) in Germany. The program opens opportunities for both academic careers and leadership roles in health organizations or industry.
IMBS is a joint program between UBA and UFR.
The International Double Master Program (2 years) is designed for international students eager to learn advanced research methods in biomedicine, improve laboratory skills with individual supervision, and enhance scientific writing, presentation, and communication. Students will experience different cultures and work with international teams. Upon completion, they receive two Master’s Degrees in Biomedical Sciences from both universities.
The Winter School (6 months) in Freiburg offers expanded practical lab experience and theoretical knowledge. Upon completion, students earn the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Biomedical Sciences from UFR.
The Binational Joint-Degree PhD Program promotes collaboration between UBA and UFR, involving research projects, training in various methods, and language courses. Graduates receive two doctoral degrees: one from UBA and one from UFR
