Who we are?
Immunogenetics and Human Pathology laboratory (LIGEP) is a research unit affiliated to Hassan II University of Casablanca, located within the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Created in 2021, LIGEP consists of a team of 31 members, whose objective is to understand the mechanisms of human pathologies, particularly cancer and infectious diseases, in order to identify new therapeutic targets.
The research topics of the laboratory cover a broad spectrum:
- Expression studies of new molecular targets in various human pathologies (Cancer, Viral infections, Inflammation ...);
- In silico studies of molecular modeling;
- Studies of immunomodulatory effects of several natural molecules;
- Studies of different biological mechanisms;
- The establishment of a vaccine development platform;
- Artificial Intelligence and its applications in the field of human health.
Our laboratory is present in many national and international projects and has an important activity of publications in different prestigious journals.
