We are a cultural student society with the aim to pass on the art of Lion Dance. Lion Dance is a traditional art form in many Asian countries which draws inspiration from a lion’s movements.
Our routine incorporates impressive stunts, kicks and jumps flared by the beat of traditional Chinese drums and percussion.
Lion Dance is said to bring prosperity and luck which is why we are invited to perform for special occasions such Chinese New Year celebrations, private functions (weddings and birthday parties), and the opening of new shops. We have also conducted workshops where we teach students at schools and universities simple lion dance moves and percussion beats.
