Our association offers support, professional development, and gives in-house lawyers the opportunity to meet other members to build connections.
ICN was established in 2007 by several in-house lawyers practicing in small legal departments. These lawyers recognized that the number of in-house lawyers in Alberta had significantly increased including many in small departments and that these lawyers all faced common challenges including:
• remaining current in a large variety of practice areas;
• obtaining timely access to legal resources including: precedents, policies and articles;
• providing quality and cost-effective advice for all of the corporation’s legal matters; and
• networking with in-house counsel peers.
