Keep Britain in the EU! While logic is on the side of staying in, many people will be voting with their hearts not their heads and plenty more will be confused – with their heads in and hearts out. The "out" campaigners are preying on the former group and trying to confuse the latter, with a range of illogical and emotionally inflammatory often negative arguments. We should not give up on people who are going to vote with their hearts. Indeed, it would be a mistake to think heart-voters can always be reasoned with. Equally, for the people being torn apart by the conflict between their hearts and heads, we should not think it’s enough to deliver the messages that seek to persuade their heads. We need to address their hearts as well. Our social media friendly mini-videos of continental Europeans actually welcoming the British to stay in will deliver positive, emotional arguments to pull on the heartstrings of heart-only voters as well as heart-head confused voters. The negative campaigning which is fanning a myriad of fears and exaggerated national pride can be combated with the antidote of positive emotional messages. Our campaign will combat the negative with the positive on the same emotional battlefield. The videos have three themes: • Emotional not factual • Positive not negative • Pull not push The campaign videos are being made in five European cities (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Paris and Rome). We believe it will be quite compelling for Brits to see continental Europeans fighting for the British hearts with goodwill and humour on these topics. You have to be creative in politics and sprinkle some magic if you want to move a people, especially the young! No actors are used in our videos. They are all unpaid and interviewed on the street in continental Europe.
