A student-led team designing a free and accessible web game about urban poverty in Kuala Lumpur. The game will be available in both English and Malay in order to reach out to a larger audience.
The game has an interactive element. Players play as a character and are faced with different choices, which bring them to different outcomes.
The objective of the game is to increase the local understanding of users and develop perspectives so that there is more understanding and empathy for those affected.
Additionally, the game will also present relevant statistics and data to illustrate the scale and severity of urban poverty to the public.
Last but not least, we hope to spotlight the NGOs involved in our project while encouraging an act of change to support the cause of poverty alleviation.
The web game is projected to be released in late February 2023.
