Indepemedia is the brain child of Sergio Giles and Travis Kendrick. Giles is among other things, a Surgical First Assistant, the founder of DAE ONE Records - a small independent record label, and most recently, one of the founders of Indepemedia. "It was through trying to promote new undiscovered talent through our record label, and seeing the difficulties they had in getting exposure, that Indepemedia was born." Says Giles "The big labels take advantage of the little guys who are struggling to get their music out there, so we said, "Let's give these guys a platform" and that’s what we did." Kendrick is the former COO of Uncut-Rawtv and 14 year Information Technologist from Atlanta, Georgia but residing in Fort Lauderdale, FL. “The best part about this platform is its functionality. You would have to visit all the other sites individually to compete with Indepemedia. That makes our site a better value for our members and customers”, says Kendrick.
The process for the creation of this platform was inspired by our continued struggle to make it in the music industry as a small Independent Label. We quickly realized it takes a lot of time and money to make it in the Music industry. So we started developing a platform that would provide the Indie Artist with everything they needed to be successful.
