Indian Summer Academy aims to facilitate and promote a streamlined, rewarding and highly educational passage to India for young Western adults. At present, most travellers to India are either older adults or families. People in the 18-25 age group, meanwhile, are often drawn to Thailand and Vietnam when looking to explore the East.
Our vision sets out to change this – we want India to be at the forefront of curious young travellers' minds as the country's status on the world stage develops. We offer unique study + travel programmes that make this possible. In the long term, we have ambitious plans to extend our destinations within India to at least six locations. This will further cement our reputation among young Western visitors to India as the go-to summer programme operator for unmissable cultural adventures in the country. At the same time, we believe our efforts are fostering UK-India relations in some small way. By 2026, we aim to have more than 1,000 alumni who will take their knowledge of India into their own communities and initiate new dialogue between East and West.
