Initiative for Community Development Overview

Initiative for Community Development (ICD) is a humanitarian & development non-profit organization striving to support in the elimination of hunger and poverty of the most vulnerable through livelihoods enhancement. Mission: To support the poorest poor and the extremely socio-economically vulnerable affected by conflict to create lasting and sustainable solutions to education, food security, livelihoods challenges and gender-based violence. Vision: We envisage a better world with less suffering (natural crises and socio-economic crises) and the work we do is for the overall good of our community and country. Objectives: - To promote social cohesion amongst forcibly displaced and host communities. - To strengthen self-reliance and achieve resilience. - To reduce hunger and poverty amongst the most socio-economically vulnerable.
